Support for professionals
We know that direct support from the Guy’s Gift team is invaluable. We are ready to offer support directly to children and young people, we are also ready to offer support to those of you already working with children and young people in school, too.
There are a number of ways we can offer support. We have infomation sheets available to download here, and invite you to talk with us for further advice and guidance about how you can support children in your school.
We are currently working on a project to provide Bereavement Resource Packs to every school in Coventry and Warwickshire. If your school hasn’t yet received a pack please get in touch. You can register your interest in receiving a pack, here.
In February 2023, we began a new ‘drop-in’ project for school professionals who want to learn more about what they can do to provide support for children and young people directly.
Guy’s Gift facilitates a monthly online drop in group for teachers and other school professionals to meet with one of our counselling and support team. The aim of the session is to provide an opportunity to ask us questions about supporting children following the death of someone important to them. It will give attendees a chance to think specifically about a child or young person in your school, or to gain ideas more generally.
If you would like to be on the mailing list for the monthly meeting link, please complete the sign up form below, giving your consent for us to keep your details on file.
